Recently discovered, apparently sometime in the 1960's, the English company Gamba made a shoe for export to what was then the U.S.S.R. - The Soviet Union, the picture of the bottom of the shoes below is actually in Cyrillic- the Russian letters. Although it is spelled below " ", in Russian it if pronounced geh-ah-em-veh-ah, pretty much like saying Gamva in English. ( the russian language is comprised of symbols that mean certain sounds rather than a letter sound like our language)The model itself is no longer in production, we are not sure of the exact date production ceased at this time.
